Yeshe Sal Ling is a non-profit organization dedicated to learning, teaching, preservation and research of the Yungdrung Bön tradition.
Yeshe Sal Ling is designed to be a place for accurate, authentic teachings by qualified Bön Lamas on the nine vehicles of Bön, according to the texts of Kanjur and Tenjur and great Lamas' commentaries. A certain emphasis on Dzogchen is suggested by the name "place of wisdom and clarity" given by Yongdzin Tendzin Namdak Rinpoche. Our spiritual guide, Lama Sangye Mönlam, is himself a highly qualified teacher of Dzogchen, Tantra, their auxiliary practices such as Tsa Lung and Trulkhor, and of the rituals of Bön and their ritual music. In addition to teaching in person, Lama Sangye will use his contacts to help the organizers to invite the best possible teachers for every subject of Bön.
The long-term plan is to collect a Bön research library and to establish Yeshe Sal Ling as a meeting place for researchers and Bön Lamas and Geshes. The idea is to facilitate research and translations by bringing together academic researchers with Lamas who are experts on the "inside-view" of the texts in question.
