Khenpo Yonten Gyatso is the head of Yungdrung Kundakling, a Bön monastery in the south of Sikkim (Kewzing) which was built in 1984 by the venerable Yungdrung Tsultrim. Belonging to Shutsang Gompa lineage, Yundrung Kundakling had been destroyed in Tibet by the Chinese and the aim was to bring back this monastery to life in India. After the passing of ven. Yungdrung Tsultrim in 2008, Khenpo Yonten Gyatso took the responsibility of this monastery, at the request of Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche.
