Open to all who have completed the training (Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4)

with Alejandro Chaoul-Reich, Ph.D., and Honored Guest Geshe Tenzin Yangton

Trul Khor croppedDeepen your training in the ancient practice of yoga (trul khor) from the Bon Buddhist tradition of Tibet as we explore the body's energetic dimensions and integrate the practice with everyday life. Open to all who have done Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Tibetan Bon yoga from Ligmincha International since 2002.

The contemplative physical movements of Tibetan Bon yoga enable us to enter all three doors (body, speech/energy and mind) at once through a single practice. They offer a powerful, skillful means for clearing the obstacles and obscurations to openness and clarity in meditation practice, using the body, breath and mind.

In this retreat, we will deepen our trul khor practice and see how it also connects with tummo. Besides Alejandro, we will have Geshe Tenzin Yangton, Serenity Ridge resident lama, who has trained deeply in these practices in India and Nepal,

Join us at Serenity Ridge for this special opportunity!

AlejandroAlejandro Chaoul-Reich
has been teaching these retreats for more than a decade, at the request of Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. Alejandro also is Director of Research for Ligmincha International. He received his Ph.D. in Tibetan religions from Rice University, teaches in the area of spirituality and health at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, and is involved in research using Tibetan Bon Buddhist mind-body techniques with cancer patients at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where his team collaborates with Ligmincha International in funded research by the National Cancer Institute to investigate possible benefits of Tibetan yoga for women with breast cancer.

Geshe Tenzin Yangton gompa croppedGeshe Tenzin Yangton is the Resident Lama at Serenity Ridge Retreat Center. He has served as an assistant to His Eminence Ponlop Trinley Nyima Rinpoche, head instructor of Menri Monastery, and has been coordinator of Yanggon Thongdrol Phuntsog Ling Monastery, Dolpo Tsaga Welfare Healthcare Clinic and many other projects.
