ZHI NEY – The Tibetan practice of Zhi Ney (“calm abiding”) is a very important to all meditation practitioners. Our mind (“Sem” in Tibetan) is a constant stream of non-stop thoughts disturbing us so we are not able to remain focused, calm and peaceful in our meditation, and the purpose of our meditation will not be fulfulled. Without proper knowledge or guidance of these various techniques, many practitioners waste much valuable time and never realize the benefits of meditation.

Zhi Ney teaches us to establish a stable mind and control our concentration, allowing us to find our focus and internal calm. Zhi Ney practice is like a foundation of a house. The more stable the foundation, the better and safer the house.
