Charles Albert Edward Ramble (urodzony 1957) jest antropologiem i byłym wykładowcą uniwersyteckim na wydziale Studiów nad Tybetem i Himalajami w Instytucie Orientalnym Uniwersytetu Oxford. Od 2009 profesor i dyrektor studiów (wydziału historii i filologii tybetańskiej) w Ecole pratique des hautes études (EPHE, Sorbonne) w Paryżu. Aktualnie przewodniczący Międzynarodowego Towarzystwa Studiów Tybetańskich (International Association for Tibetan Studies - IATS); powołał 10. seminarium IATS w Oxfordzie w 2003.

Charles Albert Edward Ramble (urodzony 1957) jest antropologiem i byłym wykładowcą uniwersyteckim na wydziale Studiów nad Tybetem i Himalajami w Instytucie Orientalnym Uniwersytetu Oxford. Od 2009 profesor i dyrektor studiów (wydziału historii i filologii tybetańskiej) w Ecole pratique des hautes études (EPHE, Sorbonne) w Paryżu. Aktualnie przewodniczący Międzynarodowego Towarzystwa Studiów Tybetańskich (International Association for Tibetan Studies - IATS); powołał 10. seminarium IATS w Oxfordzie w 2003.

Dr Ramble spędził ponad 15 lat w Nepalu i Tybecie oraz opublikował cztery książki związane z głównymi obszarami jego badawczych zainteresowań: pielgrzymki, religia bon, społeczna religia Himalajów i historia społeczna. W 2006 wybrany na przewodniczącego Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Studiów Tybetańskich. Mąż francuskiej antropolog dr Anne de Sales (CNRS Nanterre) także specjalizującej się w Nepalu; mają razem dwie córki.
